QUARTER of all GCSE pupils get A/A* equivalent grades

Some 25.9 per cent of pupils received a grade 7 to 9 today, while 76 per cent received at least a grade 4 (C). These figures were both much higher than those last year of 20.7 per cent and 67.1 per cent.
