Sydney and Melbourne property downturn now worse than the 1980s with double-digit drops recorded

Sydney's median house prices has fallen by 9.3 per cent since peaking in July 2017, with one suburb suffering an annual price fall of more than 14 per cent. It is worse than the 1988 plunge.
