Even fashionistas like Jessica Alba need a second opinion sometimes.
The 30-year-old stylish actress was not certain whether her sexy leather look would be appropriate for the Montgomery Technology Conference, an event with over 1000 senior-level private equity and venture capital investors and corporate industry executives.
So she uploaded a picture and asked her 2.5 million Twitter followers for their opinion of the all-black outfit - pleated leather skirt, lacy top, blazer, and heels.
Lace and leather: Even Jessica Alba wasn't sure whether her sexy outfit was appropriate for the Montgomery Technology Conference today in Santa Monica
'I think this outfit might be too fashion for #2012montgomerytechnologyconference. What do you think?'
Her Twitter fans seemed to have approved as Jessica was photographed in the same ensemble heading to the invitation-only event held today and tomorrow at the Fairmont Hotel and Bungalows in Santa Monica.
Jessica was most likely attending the technology conference today due to her first entrepreneurial venture, The Honest Co. and Honest.com, a line of nontoxic, eco-friendly diapers and biodegradable wipes.
Yay or nay? Jessica asked her 2.5 million Twitter followers, 'I think this outfit might be too fashion for #2012montgomerytechnologyconference. What do you think?'
Last week the brunette beauty tweeted numerous pictures of herself and her sister in law, Nikki, posing in front of monuments, sipping champagne with friends, and enjoying Paris Fashion Week.
After an outing at the Jardin du Luxembourg, Jessica sat front row at the Autumn/Winter 2012 Lanvin show and even spent time shopping in some of the city's designer stores.
The mother of two recently showed off her tiny waist for a LA Confidential magazine cover shoot. She said her fashion choices have changed since becoming a parent.

'I didnt use to wear a lot of colour. I guess Ive been more adventurous with my style and clothes choices since Ive become a mother,' the Sin City star said.
'It doesnt feel as heavy or as big a deal. Before, I was incredibly bashful and shy. When I was younger, I was really uncomfortable in dresses and high heels or anything like that. Over the years, Ive embraced a more feminine side.'
On how motherhood has changed her, she said: 'I feel like Ive finally come into my own and become the person I always should have been, or that I always wanted to be. I feel more grounded, free and comfortable in my own skin than I ever have. The paradigm just shifted completely to my family.'
Heading home: Later in the day Jessica was seen leaving her office after a hard at work

Runway ready: Jessica glammed it up in a single-sleeved stunner while sitting front row at Lanvin's show in Paris
She added that she has learned what works well on her body type, after years in showbusiness and dressing for events.
But like any woman, the actress showed she still envied other figures.
'Ive been doing this since I was 12, going to fittings and all that,' Jessica said. 'So I know what works on my silhouette.
'Fashion is part of the job. Theres a fantasy element. Its fun to go out and see what everybodys wearing. Some things really work, and some dont. And then there are some people, like Kate Moss, who can wear anything... Now its just what Im feeling that day.'
Twitter devotee: Jessica shared numerous pictures of fashion featured at the Lanvin show with her 2.5 million followers

Jessica also spoke about balancing her career and looking after her two girls, Honor, four, and Haven, six months.
'Its not perfect. Im constantly feeling I should be spending more time at home. I installed a kids corner in the office, and the baby is really easy right now. But every day is evolving and changing. If Im not going to be home all day, I know Ill be home at night.'
The mompreneur has put acting aside for the last year to launch her new company, but next year she will appear onscreen as the voice of Lena in the 3D computer animated feature Escape from Planet Earth.
